Events
Performances are a way for young people at ComMUSICation to share their talents and grow their confidence. The theme of our 2026-2027 season is “community,” and here are some of the performances and events happening throughout the year.
Lean on Me: 2026 Fall Showcase
Thursday, November 19, 6-7pm
825 Arts, 825 University Ave W, Saint Paul
Join us for a joyful evening featuring performances from CMC’s onsite programs! Youth from RISE (grades 3-4), SHINE (grades 5-8), and SOAR (grades 9-12+) will share what they’ve been learning so far this school year, with repertoire representing this season’s theme of “community.”
Gospel Choir Showcase
Thursday, February 25, 6-7pm
825 Arts, 825 University Ave W, Saint Paul
Gospel has become one of our most popular offerings for youth, and if you come to this showcase, you’ll understand why. Teaching Artists Traiveon Dunlap and Imani Waters help young people understand the history and significance of the Gospel tradition, and in just a short time together, youth put together a performance filled with joy, celebration, and connection.
2027 Spring Showcase
Thursday, March 18, 6-7pm
825 Arts, 825 University Ave W, Saint Paul
As we head into the last stretch of the school year, this showcase brings together a full season of rehearsals, performances, and growing together. Youth from RISE (grades 3-4), SHINE (grades 5-8), and SOAR (grades 9-12+) will share the music they’ve been learning this year and celebrate how far they’ve come. This year’s Spring Showcase will also feature singing and dancing learned during Voces & Ritmo, a two-week exploration of Latin American music and culture.
