Elijah grew up in Saint Paul. Having been drawn to music from an early age, he took violin lessons before beginning piano lessons at age 12. Elijah began his college studies at Century College, and finished them at Augsburg College, where he completed a B.A. in Music and a Minor in Writing. When Elijah isn’t doing a variety of home improvement jobs he often serves as a church pianist, singer, or bass guitar player, sings with the Masterworks Chorale of Augsburg, helps keep the CMC website updated, and serves as a piano teacher to youth in CMC choir.
Passionate about fostering human harmony through choral singing, conductor and educator Erik Peregrine currently serves as Artistic Director for the South St. Paul Male Chorus, and sings tenor with Caritas Vocal Ensemble. Erik received his Master’s degree in Choral Conducting from the University of British Columbia and his B.A. in Music from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon.
